Senior Strong

Senior Strong is a cross training program for seniors. This one-hour class will feature cross-training techniques tailored to mature adults to help them gain greater strength, endurance, and flexibility to perform everyday tasks with ease. Squats will strengthen legs which will help improve ability to climb stairs and sitting to a couch or toilet; overhead press exercises will make it easier to reach overhead to get something out of a cabinet; and stretching and mobility exercises will improve range of motion to be able to reach down and pick something up off the floor.

SilverSneakers®

In this exercise class, you will have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Days and Times:
Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:15 to 11:00 a.m.

Cost:
FREE to members; $5 non-members.

Line Dancing

Dance steps, music, and exercise with terrific instructors. This class is a winner and a great way to meet people and make friends.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Senior Nutrition Program

(Meals on Wheels)
Neighborhood House Association offers the Senior Nutrition Programs in the Community Room. This program provides activities that include bingo and chair aerobics that begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a lunch meal for seniors. Donations are appreciated. Contact Karen Long at 674-1131 for more information.

Potluck

On the fourth Tuesday of each month at noon, seniors meet to have a potluck meal and enjoy an entertaining program. Bring your own table service and a dish to share. Fried chicken and drinks provided. FREE and everyone is invited.

The December potluck will be held on the second Tuesday of the month, December 8.

Cards

Join other seniors in the Senior Room on the second floor to play pinochle, euchre, bridge, hand-in-foot or whatever! Bring a snack to pass and a friend!

Sundays 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Game Room

The Game Room is located on the second floor and features pool table, shuffleboard, and Ping-Pong tables. Reserved exclusively for senior 65+ Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

SilverSneakers® Yoga

This exercise class includes a variety of stretching exercises in both seated and standing position to target specific muscle groups and joints within the body to increase muscle tone and build strength.

Seated Zumba Gold Toning

Same fun, exciting music and dance moves as regular Zumba, but modified for movement from a seated position. Easy to do, effective, and totally exhilarating.
